SHEET 001 โ 2026
Drawing the same boy twelve times
Consistency across illustrations is the real cost of a "drag to turn" scene. Here is how I kept it cheap.
SCROLL
01 / 04
Turning the scene on the home page swaps between twelve illustrations of the same character. The hard part was not drawing one; it was drawing the same one twelve times.
02 / 04
A character sheet first
Before any pose, generate one sheet with front, three-quarter and side views, and lock it. Every later frame references that sheet, not the photos alone.
03 / 04
The same canvas every time
All frames share one canvas: 1000 by 900 pixels, feet on the line at y = 790, back of the character near x = 380, the pet to the right. The scene never has to know which frame it is showing.
04 / 04
Cleaning up
Background removal is a flood fill from the edges, so whites inside the drawing survive, and the white fringe is un-blended out of the edge pixels.
